Ponto Series
Ponto Series Programmable Logic Controllers are the ideal solution to distributed control systems providing a wide line of I/O modules. With flexible architecture, it enables the access to remote stations through different standards of field networks.
Their Central Processing Units (CPUs) are proper to medium and big systems and have a high integration of functions, online programming and wide memory capacity. Using WebPLC technology and Ethernet connections, they enable the supervision, command and diagnostics of the system to be carried out through the Internet.
I/O modules and field network heads may be used with Altus CPUs as well as with other that from other manufacturers. The arrangement of terminals and fuses individualized by channel simplifies the project, assembly and commissioning of control panels. The maintenance is made easier by extensive diagnostics and the possibility of hot swapping of all modules.
The addressing system is implemented by GBL communication bus, a new technology developed and patented by Altus. The module’s address is defined by the position in which it is assembled on the bus, preventing errors or accidents by undue operation of field signals.
Ponto Series is configured by Mastertool Pro-Ponto programmer, developed by Altus. It enables configuring the bus in a friendly and graphical way and provides features such as checking the validity of configuration, assignment of tags, modules parameterization, generation of tags and documentation.
