At the beginning of July, the Brazilian Navy announced a set of competitions for the acquisition and renovation of ships with the purpose of renewing its fleet, an initiative that will feature Altus technology. SKM Engenharia<\/a><\/b>, our partner specializing in solutions for industries civil and military naval vessels, participated as a subcontractor in the \u00c1guas Azuis<\/b> consortium, winner of the corvette program, and will develop, build, install and provide technical assistance to control and supervision systems for military ships (IPMS). Using our hardware and software solutions, the company will be able to apply the systems to both Tamandar\u00e9 corvettes and the retrofit of recently acquired vessels.<\/p>\n

In addition to these actions to renew the national fleet, at the beginning of the year the Navy had already announced the establishment of an agreement to provide technical, operational and administrative assistance to the Guyana Coast Guard, a country that borders the states of Roraima and Par\u00e1 Among the points of the agreement is support for the modernization of the GDFS Essequibo, a patrol ship commissioned to the British Navy in 1985 and sold to the South American country in 2001. Among these bodies is Det Norske Veritas (DNV-GL)<\/a><\/b>, normative institution based in Norway. A certification issued by the entity<\/a><\/b> ensures the high technological level of the Nexto Series, the quality of its production chain, the robustness of the hardware and its high availability in marine applications, such as control systems on ships, cruises, cargo ships and oil and gas production platforms. The family's equipment is certified in the Type Approval category, the process of which involves testing the product development and production system.<\/p>\n
