High processing capacity<\/h3>\n

From laboratory equipment, such as crush test presses, to larger machines, such as filling machines, packaging machines and complete production lines, the Nexto Xpress controller stands out for its high processing capacity<\/u>. The solution's products feature a powerful 32-bit ARM processor<\/b> and large memory availability<\/u>, which allows for very fast complex calculations<\/u>. This functionality enables the application of complex routines, leading to improved machine performance by keeping the processing cycle (Scan) below 5 ms<\/b>, while most PLCs in the same category can process the same calculations in up to 10 ms.<\/p>\n

High connectivity<\/h3>\n

Created to meet the demands of highly connected environments, the solution supports a wide variety of communication protocols<\/u>, which allows it to interact with the most different types of intelligent machines and systems. In addition to Ethernet-based protocols, such as MODBUS TCP Client\/Server, EtherNet\/IP, OPC DA, OPC UA<\/b> and MQTT<\/b>, Xpress products also feature Serial RS 485, CAN and USB communication interfaces<\/u>.<\/p>\n

In addition to providing decentralized control<\/u> through its input and output expansion capabilities, CANopen network support<\/a><\/b>, another feature embedded in the solution, also allows the insertion of complementary equipment<\/u>. The functionality makes it possible to add devices<\/b> such as servo motors, frequency inverters and weighing modules (load cells).<\/p>\n

Special functions for machines<\/h3>\n

In addition to advanced processing and high connectivity, Nexto Xpress programmable controllers feature special machine control functions<\/u> through the libMachine library<\/b>. When accessing the resource, the user finds the LABEL CONFIGURATION<\/b> functions, used in positioning logic, and ANGLE_SIMULATE<\/b>, an angular cycle simulator in which the machine's actions are defined by the angular position of the cycle. Both resources are widely used in vertical packaging machines and labeling machines.<\/p>\n

The first line of IoT-ready programmable controllers launched by Altus, the Nexto Xpress products come in four model options that differ in number of points and features: XP300, XP315, XP325 and XP340. All have 16 digital inputs, 16 digital transistor outputs, an Ethernet port, another standard RS-485 serial port and a CAN port. However, the XP315 PLC also has 2 two- and three-wire RTD analog inputs and 5 analog inputs for voltage and current. The XP325 model has all these features plus 4 analog outputs, the same functionalities present in the XP340 model, which also has WebServer support<\/a><\/b>.<\/p>\n
