Josmaq<\/a><\/b>, a company specializing in the development of packaging machines and bottling plants, is one of these manufacturers. Located in the city of Muritiba\/BA, the company looked in Xpress controllers<\/b> for the necessary technology to automate its new line of machines for filling yogurt and dairy drinks<\/u>.<\/p>\n

Developed by four hands<\/u> by the client's engineering team and experts from our OEM team<\/a><\/b>, the architecture applied to the machine has the XP300<\/b> controller as the centerpiece of the control system. programmable from the Nexto Xpress family.<\/p>\n

PLC Nexto Xpress as a control solution<\/h3>\n

Compact, with a high-speed processor, various communication interfaces and support for multiple protocols<\/u>, Altus' most advanced line of programmable controllers has the capacity to meet the most various Industry 4.0 demands and processes<\/a><\/b>.<\/p>\n

The XP300, the model chosen for the application, has 16 digital inputs, 16 transistor digital outputs, an Ethernet port, a standard RS-485 Serial channel, a CAN port and a USB interface. Because it has a high density of I\/O points<\/u>, the Xpress was the PLC chosen to interact with the equipment<\/b> used to control the machine's various processes.<\/p>\n

The complete architecture has a 7 touchscreen HMI \u201d from the P2 family<\/a><\/b>, six Optidrive Series E3 frequency inverters<\/b><\/a><\/b>and a sequence of sensors<\/b>and solenoid valves<\/b>. In the developed application, the HMI is used to insert recipes and supervise the application<\/u>, communicating with the controller through the Modbus TCP<\/b> protocol.<\/p>\n

The inverters are responsible for controlling the bottle transport belt, the table turning mechanism and the four pumps and dosing nozzles that comprise the yogurt filling process<\/u>. Devices receive commands to operate through a CANopen<\/b>network connected to CAN interface embedded in PLC Xpress<\/a><\/b>.<\/p>\n

The solution also has sensors to identify the exact position<\/u> of the bottles throughout each stage of the filling process and a set of solenoid valves, activated through the quick outputs available on the XP300, used to control the flow of yogurt released to fill each of the jars.<\/p>\n
