From May 6th to 9th, our International Sales and Marketing team will be in Houston, USA, participating in the Offshore Technology Conference<\/a>, one of the largest events in the global Oil & Gas market<\/a>. Visitors who pass by the Altus space at the fair will be able to check out our most advanced control and automation solutions for onshore and offshore processes<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This year, the main highlight will be the new features designed for Nexto Series PLCs<\/a>, products used in the main FPSOs operating in Brazil, such as the replicating units of Petrobras<\/a>installed in Pre-salt<\/b> exploration fields. With high processing speed, advanced real-time diagnostics and support network redundancy<\/a>, Nexto programmable controllers deliver security and high availability for critical and highly complex processes, such as those found in Top-side<\/b>, Hull<\/b> and CSS<\/b> systems in the offshore market.<\/p>\n

Another differentiating resource present in the unit is Embedded VPN<\/a>, which creates a private connection tunnel directly to the CPU. This functionality allows you to access your business's control network remotely and completely securely. To further increase product security, the CPU has a firewall feature<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The new Altus CPU also supports FTP<\/b> type connections, which enables the device to exchange data with a server that uses this technology model. This functionality allows data packages generated by the controller, such as logs collected through a datalogger function, to be accessed remotely.<\/p>\n

In addition to the robust Nexto Series products, we will also present to the public present the Nexto Xpress solution for IoT ready PLCs<\/a>. With different onboard communication interfaces and support for a wide variety of communication protocols, Altus' compact controllers can be used as IoT gateways for small applications in the onshore market. Among its many functionalities 4.0<\/a>, Xpress products can, for example, collect application production data in the field via a MODBUS TCP network and send it via OPC UA or MQTT to a supervisory system hosted in the cloud.<\/p>\n

When it comes to connectivity, the product includes Ethernet, RS-485 Serial, CAN, and USB interfaces, offering support for a broad list of communication protocols such as MODBUS TCP and RTU, PROFINET, CANopen, J-1939, IEC 60870-5-104, EtherNet\/IP, EtherCAT, OPC DA, OPC UA, and MQTT. These capabilities allow direct communication with the industry`s leading cloud platforms. Like the NX3008 CPU, the XP340 model also features an embedded WebServer for HMI creation and monitoring without the need for additional SCADA software.<\/p>\n
