With a history of operating in various segments of the national and international industry, Altus has equipment capable of being used in solutions for the most diverse applications in the market. One of these solutions was the automation of impulse generators developed by HVEX, a Minas Gerais manufacturer of equipment for testing and monitoring in high voltage and high current. The devices are used in atmospheric impulse, maneuver or current tests, processes that are part of the testing stage in the production of transformers, insulators, terminations, circuit breakers, among other energy transmission products.
The project aimed to automate equipment activation and process control in general. To achieve this demand, programmable controllers from the Nexto Series were used, products chosen for their robustness, ease of programming and integration with other devices. The architecture used included the NX3004 CPU, the first in the family with an integrated power supply, and the I/O modules NJ1001, NJ2001 and NJ6000, communicating with the other items in the system via the MODBUS TCP/IP protocol.
The use of Altus technology brought more safety to the operation of the equipment by reducing human interference, which reduced the chance of accidents occurring.
