Wastewater station automated with Altus products technology

Following the signing of the new Sanitation Framework, sanctioned in July of this year by the National Congress, many projects aimed at providing the population with access to water and sewage treatment services should begin over the next few years. Present for over 30 years in this important market, Altus has the necessary products and expertise to contribute to Brazilian society in this new cycle of qualifying the sanitation system. These attributes can be seen in the various projects in which we have participated as a supplier of technology and support for application development.

Among the most recent projects we can mention the modernization of SAAE (Autonomous Water and Sewage Service) of the city of Iconha, in Espirito Santo, a work carried out in partnership with União Empreendimentos e Saneamento Ambiental. The developed application, which uses the technology of our SCADA/HMI BluePlant software and the XP325 controller, a model from the Nexto Xpress compact PLC line, is responsible for the centralized control and monitoring of the city's water supply system. Through it, concessionaire operators can activate pumps using the system screens or ladder conditions configured in the PLCs, as well as monitor reservoir levels, pumping stations and the pressure of the reservoir supply network directly from the Control Center.

The new system allows greater control over the activation, measurement, remote monitoring and transmission of real-time information from the subprocesses of water collection, treatment and distribution. In addition, the centralization of actions has also resulted in significant savings in time and costs, since the operator does not need to travel from neighborhood to neighborhood to collect system variables.
