Altus technology that boosts production
Compacto, de alto desempenho e com um excelente custo-benefício, o controlador XP325, modelo da família Nexto Xpress de CLPs IoT Ready, foi o produto escolhido para ser a unidade central do sistema de controle e movimentação da máquina. Por contar com diversas interfaces de comunicação e suporte a uma ampla gama de protocolos, como MODBUS TCP Cliente/Servidor, OPC DA, OPC UA e MQTT, o controlador tem capacidade de interagir com os mais variados dispositivos inteligentes do mercado e atender às diversificadas landscape of Industry 4.0.

The XP325 model also stands out for having a real-time clock (RTC), a high density of multi-purpose digital and analog I/O points (voltage, current and temperature) and LEDs for status indication and diagnostics.
A aplicação utiliza duas unidades do CLP, um para cada cabeçote de rotulação, aumentando o nível de controle e a rapidez de varredura do processo. Os controladores atuam em conjunto com um par de servo driver e motores cada, arquitetura que entrega um controle de movimento excepcional à máquina, permitindo que ela opere com alta velocidade e uma taxa de erro de aplicação incrivelmente baixa.
Available in output power ranges from 100W, Altus' servo drive solution operates with high performance, enabling speed, torque and position control. The series' products feature automatic motor detection and adaptation, advanced tuning filters and high speed motion profile calculation.
The pair of XP325 PLCs is also responsible for controlling the movement of the conveyors, communicating with sensors and interacting with the P2070NA HMI, from the P2 Series, used for inserting recipes and supervising the machine.

Precise control system result
The developed application resulted in an important productivity gain for the machine , which achieved a significant increase in production capacity. At the same time, the precision provided by servo drivers contributed to reducing raw material waste with poorly applied labels.
Another distinguishing feature of the project was the dedicated service provided by Altus’ technical teams. The Nexto Xpress, compact PLC with integrated I/O from the Nexto Series, is our main product for the segment.
