A arquitetura típica de uma UAC é composta por um bastidor principal de 18 posições o HX9003 que pode conter até 02 fontes redundantes HX8320 em 125Vcc, 02 unidades de processamento redundantes HX3040, que comunicam via protocolo ethernet DNP3 e 12 cartões de entrada digitais o HX1120 com 32 entradas digitais. Cada CPU se conecta à uma porta ethernet em seu respectivo switch RS900, dispostos em anel redundante na rede de automação. Estas CPUs recebem sincronismo IRIG-B através do conversor de sinal IRIG-B óptico para IRIG-B elétrico RT-412 da Reason. As CPUs também recebem sinal MODBUS-RTU do multimedidor de grandezas elétricas. O regulador de velocidade e o regulador de tensão são conectados cada um em um switch do painel. O segundo bastidor, também um modelo HX9003, possui 02 fontes HX8320, que fazem a conexão da expansão com os outros bastidores via 02 cabos padrão ethernet, 03 cartões HX1120, 04 cartões de saída digital em HX2320 com 16 saídas cada, 07 cartões analógicos HX6000, configuráveis com entrada a corrente ou tensão com 16 entradas. O terceiro bastidor de 9 posições HX9001 possui duas fontes HX8320 conectadas através de 02 cabos ethernet, 06 módulos de entrada RTD HX6020 com 8 entradas cada.
The topology incorporates a dual redundant ring network to maximize availability. Special switches with dual optical ports interconnect the rings, ensuring that the plant continues operating through the redundant ring in the event of a failure on one side

- Troca dos CLP’s SAITEL 2000 atuais das UAC s UG11, UG12, UG13, UG14, UG15, UG16, SE e SA pelas UTR’s da Série HX instaladas em placa de montagem, sendo transferida todas as lógicas atualmente existentes para o novo controlador - Provision of a complete SCADA Supervisory System (including screens, commands, reports, and alarm/event center) - Provision of switches for the dual optical ring network - Provision of 1 synchronizing relay for the two existing lines in the substation (which operates with a single bus bar) - Provision of 2 19-inch rack-mount servers
- Development of Executive and Software projects - Integration with the existing water intake UAC via single-mode fiber optic connection, with at least one spare pair, integrated through IEC 104 protocol - Factory Acceptance Testing and Field Commissioning of the supplied system - Maintenance and Operation Training - Documentation, including updates to the plant’s documentation impacted by the new system implementation
