As a company with global operations, Altus seeks to increase its share of the industrial market in different territories. To strengthen its brand in the Middle East, one of the regions with the highest rate of investment in technology today, Altus will participate in ADEPIC, one of the largest energy events in the world.
Held in Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia, between October 2nd and 5th, the fair will address some of the sector's main challenges for the coming years, such as advancing decarbonization and preparing the energy system for the future.

Security and high availability for the E&P process
Visitors to the Altus stand at the fair will be able to see our most advanced control and automation solutions for onshore and offshore processes.
This year, the main highlight will be the new developments designed for the Nexto Series PLCs, products used in the main FPSOs in operation in Brazil, such as the replicating units of Petrobras installed in the Pre-salt exploration fields. With high processing speed, advanced real-time diagnostics and support for network redundancy, Nexto programmable controllers deliver safety and high availability for critical and highly complex processes, such as those found in Top-side, Hull and CSS systems in the offshore market.
One of the highlights of the fair will be the NX3008, new CPU from Nexto Series, a global product with advanced software features and cybersecurity capable of dynamically integrating the IT and TA areas of an industry. Created to meet the demands of an increasingly connected industry, the NX3008 CPU has a wide variety of communication interfaces capable of connecting the equipment to the most different systems and machines on the market. The new control device of the Nexto Series has 03 ports Gigabit Ethernet, with 02 supporting the PROFINET Controller communication protocol, which allows the controller to be used in a network with MRP ring architecture. Totalmente aderente ao universo IoT, a CPU tem capacidade de SQL databases e interação direta com os serviços de hospedagem na nuvem mais relevantes do mercado, como Microsoft Azure, IBM Cloud, Google One and Amazon AWS. Ela ainda possui com diferencial presente em poucos CLPs do mercado: a unidade conta com WebServer embarcado, ferramenta que permite a criação de telas de supervisão e monitoramento de aplicação sem a necessidade de usar um sistema SCADA.
Another key differentiator is the Embedded VPN, o que cria um túnel privado de conexão direto com a CPU. Essa funcionalidade permite que você acesse a rede de controle do seu negócio de forma remota e completamente segura. Para aumentar ainda mais segurança do produto, a CPU possui um recurso de firewall.
A nova CPU da Altus também conta com suporte a conexões do tipo FTP, o que habilita o dispositivo a trocar dados com um servidor que utilize este modelo de tecnologia. Essa funcionalidade permite que os pacotes de dados gerados pelo controlador, como logs coletados através de uma função datalogger, sejam acessados à distância.
Outra nova funcionalidade disponível é sua plataforma Docker embarcada*. O recurso, nativo na CPU, torna possível a virtualização de softwares desenvolvidos para sistemas operacionais com tecnologia Unix. O recurso dá mais versatilidade e velocidade a operação do sistema, pois permite o processamento de múltiplos dados dentro da própria CPU.

Xpress, a compact all-in-one PLC
In addition to the robust Nexto Series products, we will also present to the public present the Nexto Xpress solution for IoT ready PLCs. With different onboard communication interfaces and support for a wide variety of communication protocols, Altus' compact controllers can be used as IoT gateways for small applications in the onshore market. Among its many 4.0 functionalities, Xpress products can, for example, collect production data from the field application through a MODBUS TCP network and send it via OPC UA or MQTT to a supervisory system hosted in the cloud.
Falando em comunicação, o produto conta com interfaces Ethernet, Serial RS 485, CAN e USB embarcadas, possibilitando o suporte a uma variada lista de protocolos de comunicação, como MODBUS TCP e RTU, PROFINET, CANopen e J-1939, IEC 60870-5-104, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, OPC DA, OPC UA e MQTT. Os recursos também permitem ao controlador comunicar diretamente com os principais serviços de hospedagem na nuvem do mercado. O modelo XP340, assim como a CPU NX3008, ainda conta com suporte a WebServer.
