Recently, two companies from different sectors looked to our technology for the ideal solution to increase the efficiency of their building automation systems.
One of them was Iveco, traditional manufacturer of heavy vehicles, trucks, buses and light utility vehicles. The Brazilian arm of the company used one of our human-machine interfaces to modernize the HVAC system of part of its plant in the city of Sete Lagoas, Minas Gerais. The company upgraded the application that controls the air conditioning set using an HMI X2-BASE-7, a graphical operation terminal from Series X2 with 7″ touchscreen display, for control, recipe insertion and supervision of the process.
Felipe Alexandre Martins Antão, Project Director at CCA Automação , integrator partner responsible for developing the application, points out that the new architecture resulted in more efficient use of equipment, better room temperature control and greater energy savings . He also highlights that the industrial size and the state-of-the-art technology used in the equipment, as well as the very competitive prices charged by Altus, were the differences that led to the company's products being chosen for this project.
Another client that looked to Altus for technology to optimize its automation processes was Galpão da Luz , electrical material dealer focused on building control systems. The company, based in São Paulo, capital, used the solution Nexto Xpress, the first line of compact programmable controllers from Nexto Series, to automate your showroom. The application, developed to simulate automated lighting systems, uses two PLCs model XP315communicating via the MODBUS protocol: while one acts as the main control unit , the other operates as a remote for I/O expansion.
