Altus products are recognized for their high performance and reliability, which is evidenced by the fact that many programmable controllers launched years ago continue to be in operation, ensuring efficiency and continuity in various industry segments. Altus continues to offer technical support for several PLC families that, despite being discontinued from the catalog, are still in use.
Modular architecture to simplify design, assembly and commissioning steps
Hot swap and advanced system diagnostics to keep your application going
High reliability for safety instrumented systems.
Wide range of I/O modules and support for different fieldbus standards
The AL-2000 series was composed of rugged controllers, designed for large-scale applications. Its CPUs had a large memory capacity and high speed. The series included features such as hot-standby CPU redundancy and PROFIBUS-DP network redundancy, in addition to offering hot-swapping for I/O modules. The family was used in the control of large machines, production lines, industrial processes, and energy systems.
The Quark series is a solution that stood out for its connectivity, flexibility, and performance. The controllers can act as a CPU or an intelligent remote and connect to networks such as PROFIBUS-DP, Modbus-RTU, and ALNET II. With a modular architecture of up to 256 I/Os per bus, this flexibility allowed for connection to a wide range of systems and to the internet through WebGate. The series' main use was in areas such as sanitation, energy, and oil and gas.
This series was a powerful, compact, and low-cost solution, ideal for projects that require the automation of processes with a reduced number of input and output points (I/O). With a rugged design, the Piccolo series offered CPUs with integrated I/O and high processing power. The series' hardware is notable for its expandability of up to 132 I/Os and for its various connectivity options, allowing connection with local HMIs or supervision networks through the ALNET-I network. The series offered different models that vary in the number of channels and port type (RS-232C or RS-485).
